Lemon Ridge City Year Collaborative Project
Friday 21 May 2010

A really good work day with the crew from City Year
Service Corps Project. http://www.cityyear.org/
They were funny and upbeat and really hard workers.
Thanks to our neighbor Eugene Vaynberg who works with
AmeriCorps for bringing such a boost to the neighborhood.
It was great fun to work with them, and very satisfying to
see so much accomplished in just a morning.
Thank you City Year Volunteers!
We hope you will be back to potluck with us!

Lemon Ridge Tree Tenders Planting Project
Saturday April 24th 2010

Lemon Ridge Tree Tenders Planting Project
Site: Math Civic & Sciences Charter School
Lemon Ridge Tree Tenders plant 20 trees in the West Poplar/Callowhill neighborhood each Spring - part of the PHS/TreeVitalize regional program. This year our planting included trees around the Math Civic & Sciences Charter School and the children’s enthusiasm made for a great day. After digging and planting, they held a ceremony for each tree honoring someone special to them.

LRTT welcomes new members and encourages anyone interested in trees to take the free PHS TreeTender training. PHS TreeTender classes are offered on three evenings each Spring / Fall http://pennsylvaniahorticulturalsociety.org

Lemon Ridge Spring Clean Up +
Fence Painting Project
Saturday 10 April 2010

Lemon Ridge Spring Fence Clean Up
In preparation for Spring 2010, we all took turns
cleaning the Mt. Vernon Street side fence and preparing
it for a fresh coat of paint to
spruce it up a bit. Lemon Ridge
Garden would like to sincerely thank our neighbors Colomy Painting
& Decorating LLC on Girard Avenue http://www.colomypaint.com/
for their VERY kind donation of enough heavy duty exterior
paint to bring our vintage fence into this next century with style!

Thank you Colomy Painting & Decorating LLC!

Come see the new flowers growing along our fresh 'new' fence!
